The Schneeberg seen from Donauturm in Wien

The distance from Wien to the Schneeberg (Snow Mountain) is more than 70 km.
Only on a few days in the year one can see it from here as clearly as on this picture taken in april 2001.
The Schneeberg is 2076 m high and a rack railway leads up to it.
